Host community events, whether private or public, in De Voorkamer space. Located on Kanaalstraat in the centre of Utrecht, our space is available for bookings for groups, collectives and organisations that share our values.

Booking FAQ
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks ahead, especially for weekend slots. Last-minute requests are possible too — just contact us.
Is there a discount for community groups?
Yes. Community use pricing exists specifically for neighbourhood groups, volunteers and grassroots initiatives. Contact us if cost is a barrier.
What are the prices?
All prices listed are exclusive of VAT
Space
- Half-day (4 hours): €225 (including a host)
- Full day (8 hours): €400 (including a host)
Our space is also available for rent for longer than 8 hours and/or for multiple days. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Catering
- Coffee, tea, cookies (unlimited): €5 p.p. (half-day) / €8 p.p. (full day)
- Hot lunch/light meal: €15 p.p. (minimum order: 8 people)
If you would like something other than coffee and tea, you are welcome to bring it yourself. The same applies to dessert and any other snacks/appetisers.
What is included in the price?
The space comfortably accommodates around 40–50 people and is equipped with flexible seating areas, a sound system, a projector and screen, and a professional kitchen.

Can I bring my own catering?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. We kindly ask that you do not use our kitchen for cooking or food preparation, unless catering is being provided by De Voorkamer. You are, however, welcome to use the microwave to heat up food and make use of our plates, cutlery, and glasses if needed.
What are the proceeds going towards?
The proceeds from the services we provide are directly used to help organise free events and activities at De Voorkamer.
