Masterclass about authentic storytelling

In this storytelling masterclass by Raymond den Boestert and Annelieke Dortant from De Vertelacademie Utrecht you'll dive into an an ancient Norse method that helps you deepen your understanding of an existing story and make it your own. It's a full-day workshop for those who have previously taken a storytelling course and already have some stage experience. You will explore the richness and the depth of a well-known story from your own culture and will make it truly yours by searching for a connection between the story and your own life. Please bring an existing fairytale, folk tale, or orally transmitted story from your own cultural background that is dear to you — no more than 1 page or 5 minutes of storytelling time.

Requirements:

• You have previously done some kind of training or course in storytelling and/or have some stage experience;
• You have a story from your culture that you would like to experiment with;
• You are able to follow the masterclass instructions in either English or Dutch.
